The countdown

Hello all,

              it appears that the days are going by quickly and everything is getting into order. I’ve just about finished all my obligations here- all sorts of things that needed closure before I go.

My main problem with the blog at the moment is the use of widgets and how to customize them to my liking- I’m spending a lot of time reading up on that and trying to figure out how to do what I want. I still haven’t worked out how to put an invite button on the blog site so that readers who are interested can be updated whenever I write something new.  

Hope that the next post will show some significant progress in that area.

Good morning to all

Well, I’m going to make a small start today Friday the 12th of september 2008. There is nothing really special about today except that I’ve decide to start a blog which will continue for the next few months- after that… Who knows?

I’m sitting in my little workroom at home, listening to BB King, my son Nitai next to me watching something on the computer (Batman I think), and feeling quite fine indeed thank you!

I find myself in the process of a slow wind down at the moment. I’ve been at home for the last 2 and a half months after I closed my family practice in Karmiel, Israel ( Yes I’m a doctor). I will be going back to work on the first january 2009 at the Pain Relief Unit, Rambam Medical Center, Haifa. Until then… Winding down, learning or relearning to enjoy life, and in a few weeks time I’ll be going to spend 11 weeks in India on a volunteering, traveling vacation.

I decided to start today- to get used to the idea of blogging- to keep my friends, relatives and loved ones in touch- and to have somewhere to post my thoughts, ideas, experiences etc.

I sound really boring today- but then I’m pretty mellow this morning. BB King sounds really good this morning. I love his song ‘Guess who’. Look for it on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZF-EvcShbU– a wonderful rendition of this song.

 

So- enough for now. I’ll be learning about this blog site- how to run it, and edit it.
